I began my voiceover career in a wardrobe in the USA, and have now reached Narnia - or at least a home studio in North Lincolnshire!
I took acting and singing classes at college in the US, and I have trained in voiceover with Edge Studio, Gravy for the Brain, and Voiceover Kickstart. I continue to update my skills all the time.
I've worked across a number of voiceover genres such as commercial, e-learning, corporate, explainer, IVR, audio tour and more, and some of the brands that have used my voice include Bulgari, Prada, Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, the NHS, Kwik Fit, Audi, BMW, VW, and Hilton Garden Inn.
My background is in science - I have a PhD in Archaeological Science, and I particularly enjoy narrating scripts with an historical flavour. I'm also good at pronouncing foreign words and have been praised for my Dutch pronunciation!
My studio consists of a gold series booth from Vocal Booth, Neumann TLM103 mic, Scarlett 2i2 interface and MacBook with Adobe Audition. I also have a Vocal Booth to Go for travelling.
