Jess Pentney is a British actor, playwright and voice artist from West London. Jess trained under Amanda Brennan on the MA Screen Acting programme at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and received the MA Acting for Screen Award during her time there. 

Jess's acting credits include Ribbons (2020) Bloom Theatre, dir. Ewa Dina; 1-800-D-Direct (2019) Bish Media, dir. Clare Macdonald; Love Pool (2017) DMC Film, dir. Asim Chaudhry; The Girls (2016), Shadow House Films/ RCSSD, dir. Lily Smith; The Halcyon (2016) Left Bank Pictures/ ITV, dir. Stephen Woolfenden; Agatha Christie's Crooked House (2016), Brilliant Films/ Channel 5, dir. Gilles Paquet-Brenner.

Jess's work as an emerging writer has seen her complete her debut full-length play, Tramp. (2020) as a member of Bush Theatre’s West London Playwrights Group 19-20 cohort. Her debut short film Visiting Hours (2016), screened at On The Verge Festival 2017, the London Independent Film Festival 2017 and Soho Sanctum 2016. Jess's short play X [The Ballot or the Bullet] (2013), received a Rehearsed Reading at the George Wood Theatre, whilst a student at Goldsmiths University.
